Mobile Vending Pilot Program

In August of 2024, Pasco City Council approved the proposed Public Space Code amendments, which included updates to codes related to outdoor dining and food trucks. These codes are aimed at increasing the ways that people can use public ways throughout Pasco, and especially in Downtown.

For mobile vendors, this means there are now opportunities to vend in parking spaces, public parks, and public ways, with permits that include few restrictions on vending hours. As part of the 2024/2025 Mobile Vending Pilot Program, the City is issueing 10 Public Space Vending Permits. To see vending locations and availability, check out the Mobile Vending Map.

Route Vending

This type of vending involves moving around often rather than stationing in any particular location. This is typical of ice cream trucks and vendors whose items require minimal preparation or set-up. These vendors can locate in public parking spaces for up to 2 hours, and must avoid restricted areas per PMC 5.75.090.
